We never sell or share your personal information. If you create an Osito account, we store only your email address and the program and employment dates you enter for your reminders, nothing more.

  • Information you provide: When using our calculator, you may provide information such as your program start and end dates, and previous OPT/CPT experience.
  • Email address: If you choose to save or share your results, we collect your email address.
  • Account information: If you create an Osito account to sign in and set reminders, we store your email address and the program and employment dates you enter, so we can send you the reminders you set up. We store nothing else about your account.
  • Usage data: We collect anonymous information about how you use our website, including pages visited and time spent.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide you with a personalized OPT/CPT timeline
  • Send your results to the email address you provide (only when requested)
  • Sign you in to your account and send the reminders you set up
  • Improve our calculator and website functionality
  • Analyze usage patterns to enhance user experience

3. Data Storage and Security

We take data security seriously:

  • Information entered into our calculator is stored temporarily to generate your timeline
  • Email addresses are only stored if you opt to receive your results by email, or if you create an account
  • If you create an account, your email address and the dates you enter are stored until you delete your account
  • We use Supabase to handle sign-in and store account data, and Resend to deliver sign-in links and reminder emails
  • We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to third parties. We may share anonymous, aggregated data for analytical purposes. We never sell or share your account information, including your email address or the dates you enter.

We work with service providers to run Osito, including Supabase for sign-in and account storage, and Resend for delivering sign-in links and reminder emails. These providers process your information only to provide these services to us, not for their own purposes.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on our website. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but this may limit some functionality.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Delete your Osito account yourself, at any time, from your account page. This is immediate and removes all of your account data, including your email address and any dates and reminders you saved.
  • Opt out of email communications
  • Request a copy of your data
