2. What Osito Does (and Doesn't Do)

Osito helps F-1 students understand when they can work on OPT and CPT by calculating important dates, deadlines, and application windows. We show you this information in a visual format to help you plan ahead.

Osito does NOT determine your eligibility. That is the responsibility of your institution's Designated School Official (DSO). We only provide date calculations and visualizations that may be helpful for conversations with your DSO or immigration attorney.

3. Information Accuracy

Osito strives to provide accurate calculations based on current OPT and CPT regulations for F-1 students. However, immigration regulations are subject to change, and individual circumstances may vary. The information provided is for general guidance only and is not intended as legal advice or an eligibility determination.

Osito does not provide legal advice and does not determine your eligibility for OPT or CPT. Our guided questionnaire and visualizations are tools to help you understand when you might be able to work based on general date calculations. Osito and its creators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use our services. This includes damages resulting from reliance on information obtained through Osito or errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in that information. You use Osito at your own risk and must verify all information with qualified professionals before making any immigration-related decisions.
